Since we are the safest axe throwing lanes in Decatur, we can allow throwers ages eight and up! Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian signed waiver.
Our normal hours are listed below, but these can change based on holidays, etc. If you click on the Book Now at the top right of the page, you can input the number of throwers you have, and a calendar will display. Click on any day highlighted in green and you can see all the available times.
Private events can be booked during our off hours. Click Contact Us to schedule to schedule your event today!
CLOSED-TOE SHOES MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. No one will be permitted to participate without the proper shoes. So, no flip flops, bare feet, sandals, etc. For the rest of your body, loose comfortable clothing is a good idea. Picture the throwing motion, so you will not want to wear anything that restricts that movement.
Axe throwing is very safe! It is important that you listen to and follow all the safety rules, but if you do, it is a very safe sport. It is one of the safest throwing experiences you can have, as our targets are easier to stick (so you don’t have to throw as hard), and our patent-pending target system helps minimize bounces!

Yes! In fact, we get a lot of companies that want to do an axe throwing event. We offer a large party room that can be booked during both our normal hours, as well as off hours. Learn more about team building on our Company Events Page.
We have six lanes in total.
You can have up to six throwers per lane.

Wise Axe Games | Rules for Axe throwing
- 1. Wear only closed toed shoes and no heels.
- 2. Only throw like we show ya – no horseplay!
- 3. Nothing in your hand but your axe or throwing stars.
- 4. Don’t cross the foul line until the axe stops moving.
- 5. Only one person in the throwing lane at a time.
- 6. Pick up your own axe after each throw.
- 7. After your turn is complete, place your axe in the “axe hole.”
- 8. Eyes on the axes at all times!
- 9. Where is everyone? Check around ya before throwing.
- 10. Hands off our fence if ya wanna keep your fingers.
- 11. Drink, but don’t get drunk! We’re not joking…drunks don’t get to throw axes!! (2 drink maximum)
